Maitland Auto Preservation Society Inc. (M.A.P.S.) was formed in 1985 by a small group of dedicated enthusiasts. The club has since continued to attract many new members who have a common interest in the restoration and preservation of motor vehicles of all ages and types.
Membership is not limited to residents of Maitland; members reside in all areas of the Yorke Peninsula.
Regular events are held on a monthly basis. A monthly newsletter is produced called "The M.A.P.S. Review".
State legislation allows for special Historic Vehicle Registration for vehicles over 30yrs of age. This means that for a reduced fee a Club Car can be used on many club outings.
Club meetings are held the first Thursday of each month except January in the Archives Room of the Town Hall, Robert St., Maitland at 8pm.
Visitors and prospective new members are always welcome.
