Maitland Auto Preservation Society Inc. was formed in 1985 by a small group of automotive enthusiasts to promote the preservation and enjoyment of motor vehicles of all ages and types.
Forty years later, the club has members from all areas of Yorke Peninsula, in South Australia, and beyond, and they enjoy regular club outings in their
historical and other special interest vehicles.
SA's Conditional Registration Scheme allows vehicles 25 years and older to be registered at a reduced rate, as long as the owners are financial members of a recognised club, such as MAPS.
General meetings are held at 7.30pm on the first Thursday of each month (except January) in the Central Yorke School Performing Arts Centre, Junction Road, Maitland SA 5573.
Visitors and prospective members welcome, contact maps@maps-yp.org for information.
The club's magazine, the MAPS Review, is published monthly,
and a copy of the club's constitution and by-laws can be found here.
